Market Report – November 19
Today is the last day of the 2011 season for the Farmington Farmers and Artisans Market. Make sure to visit your favorite vendors today and wish them a warm winter!
We are thrilled that we have consistently been able to bring more soap to the market in the past few weeks. Today welcomes back Oatmeal Stout and Honey Lager. I added just a pinch more marshmallow root to the Honey Lager and the texture is blowing my mind! This is a go-to bar for anyone needing a foamy silky shaving bar. Oatmeal Stout is deliciously fragrance free and would be great on any sensitive skin. Give it a try this dry dry dry winter season. We also have a limited supply of Sandalwood Vanilla. This is a scent that is slated to be discontinued. As soon as my stock of fragrance oil dries up, this will be gone. We will try to reformulate it as an essential oil-based scent but I can’t promise anything til I start experimenting.
Next week we are on break as it is Thanksgiving! We have much to be thankful for. Especially for our customers! Thank you!
The week after we plan to participate in this year’s Holly Days in Farmington. We will be there on Saturday only. We will be armed with lots of gift giving ready soaps. Look for many sample packs but come early for the best picks as they typically sell quickly.
I am busy in the workshop right now so we should be welcoming back a lot of soaps in the next few weeks. Carrots & Honey as well as Castile should be ready for sale by mid-week. I am also working on bringing out a non-salt bar with the same fragrance as our ever-popular Froth bar as well as a non-scrubby Garden Scrub. These two scents are favorites of mine and many customers have remarked that they would love to see them in a conventional soap bar. We’re going to make that happen!
