Relic Soap Company is a family-owned business that specializes in creating a one of a kind artisan soap that nourishes the body and dazzles the senses. Our unique blend of oils is the product of years of listening to our customers and providing them with a soap that they come back for time and time again. Our soaps are infused with cultural, culinary, and aroma-based inspiration. Soap is a necessity, but we aim to indulge you with delicious aromas and sumptuous ingredients.
Relic Soap Company was founded by Karen and Ryan Kmieciak in the fall of 2002 after a few years of Karen doing small craft shows selling various bath and body products. It became a passion when Karen discovered the raw power of natural ingredients. As fervent advocates of small business, the Kmieciaks dedicated themselves to selling at local farmers markets in an effort to promote buying local and buying from independent retailers, rather than big-box stores.
When the Relic family isn’t making, selling, or shipping soap, they are home-schooling their 3 children or exploring somewhere in nature!
What makes our soap unique?
While other companies are aiming to cut costs and skimp on ingredients, Relic Soap Company is not satisfied with mediocre soap. We strive for extraordinary. We love olive oil for all of its amazing qualities and use it as a dominant ingredient in each of our soaps. We use only top-shelf certified organic plant-based oils along with plant-based essential oils, botanical extracts, earth-based (and sometimes lab-synthesized) minerals, and when necessary a few man-made (phthalate-free) fragrances. We make all of our soaps in small quality-controlled batches using traditional methods. Everything is made by hand. By us.
We take pride in providing you with complete ingredient listings for each soap we make. Do not use if you are sensitive or allergic to any of these ingredients. If you are pregnant or suffer from a medical condition, please consult your physician before using any product containing essential oils. Our products and services are not designed or intended for use in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease. It’s soap!
How To Use Organic Soap: To help your artisan soap last as long as possible, keep in a soap dish that drains and allow to dry between uses. Because our soap is chocked full of natural (and water soluble) goodness, if it is left standing in water or in a direct stream of the water, the soap will not last nearly as long. Keep your unused soaps in a cool, dry place, such as your linen closet or dresser drawers. They make an excellent alternative to commercial air fresheners.
Wholesale & Custom Orders:
We are currently unable to do custom orders, due to time constraints. We look forward to serving the wholesale industry in the future, but feel that our business model does not fit the industry’s needs at this time. Please check back with us in the future. We do not do consignments under any circumstance.
Craft Shows & Charity Event Inquiries:
We receive a tremendous amount of emails and conversations regarding upcoming shows and charity events. We are grateful for the invitations, but we simply don’t have the manpower to reply to solicitations.

I purchased your soap two weeks ago at the
Farmington Farmer’s Market. Beautiful!!!!!!
I can’t wait to use it and buy more.
I was the lady who bought six bars/no patchouli,
if that helps you to remember me. Your soaps are
the most beautiful I have seen. Looking forward
to seeing you again and purchasing more of your
products.
Thanks,
Marcie
